100IN Diagonal Accuscreens HDtv Manual Wall Ceiling 49X87IN Reviews
I purchased this on a friday and received it on the next tuesday. It appeared to be good quality. The family loves watching movies now more than ever.
Bottom line: this is a budget screen, don't expect too much of it. I contacted the seller and they told me I should contact the manufacturer. I rolled the screen from the bottom rod and put it on the top of the book shelf before I email the manufacturer. I didn't try this method although I believe it should work. I tried and tried and tried, but no luck. ".
My suggestion is, DO NOT PULL IT ALL THE WAY DOWN, STOP WHEN THE WHITE SCREEN IS OUT OF CASE. Inverting the screen will allow gravity to assist rather than just inertia. You get what you pay for. The following is what they told me. It maybe works for someone who experiences the same problem as me. Sometimes the screen can become jammed during transit and once freed it will work properly. When I was about to try the above method last night, I take it off the book shelf and it just retracted by itself. The manufacturer's response was very quick.
Although it can not retract all the way back and leave a little bit screen hanging out of the case, I'm OK with that. Otherwise, the picture on screen is good, and it does have strong smell as someone mentioned in his/her review. The screen didn't retract when I used it for the first time. If you can, buy a better model or brand. Maybe it was because the spring recovered after the whole night of rest. ".You might try taking the screen off the wall while extended and turn the case upside down (with the help of your friend) and see if the locking mechanism will disengage. After I struggled against it for a whole hour, I decided to send it back.
Setting it up was pretty easy, no body should have any problem with that. The roll up mechanism works perfectly though it might need some getting use to.
It does smell of fresh paint for couple of weeks at the maximum. The screen is very easy to set up.
Here is wishing us many months of home theater bliss. We bought this screen for a cheap home theater that we set up at our place (after all how much money can a graduate student have).
The packaging was good enough. The image quality is pretty good.
I have Optoma Ep 719 projector which is primarily a data projector and that is why the blacks are more greyish than I would desire but it doesnt bother much. Overall, we are happy with the purchase.
Recommended. I will say that extending and retracting the screen does feel a bit on the "cheap" side, and I'm sure a premium screen would feel like butter. I echo the sentiments of all the other reviewers - easy to install, great image even on low bulb, and geez you can't beat the price. However if you give it the proper care and go easy on it, it will perform well for a long time. Shout out to the seller (ANTOnline) - as they were prompt, had great followup and delivered exactly what was expected. Bought this screen to complement my Mitsubishi HC1500 and couldn't be happier.
As far as image goes, I have been extremely happy and think it looks great. The smell from the screen is strong, but not unpleasant, it smells like a new toy, just out of package, I dont have any problem with it. The only issue i have with the screen is that it takes an average of 5 pulls to get it to lock in the correct place for my projected image. Screen looks great, and was extremely easy to install (2 screws into wall, and then hung of pre-existing tabs). I was initially worried about buying something this significant online, but no worries, I bought this screen from Amazon (seller = databaazar) last month, and i was very happy with the experience.
