This means a 2 year extension -NOT 3. This means that the 3 year contract you purchased with your television on 4/26/08 does only go through 4/26/2011. warranty. It is also , in my opinion FRAUD.
My confusion is in the fact that Samsung would engage in this type of business practice. When are 3 years only 2. This is truly a shame as the TV is wonderful but if this is how Samsung chooses to do business I will not by from them or reccomend them again. Also note that, looking at the "feedback" area ,I am not alone in this perception. After playing phone/email merry-go-round with the third party the handles the contract (contrary to the description it's not actually Samsung) Amazon and Samsung the rep at Service Net Solutions Agreed that this was not right and would make the correction. Please feel free to read the review I posted ,on Amazon, regarding this product for some additonal facts as to why I feel wholly defrauded by your company. Seller Response: "We greatly apologize if there was any confusion for the Samsung Extended Service Plan start date.
If you still have questions or have any needs unmet, please email." Date: 6/10/2008. The answer is when you buy this contract. This has also colored my opinion of Amazon ,who I have been purchasing through on a regular basis,to the point that I have lost confidence in them as well. My unmet need is for the third year of protection that any rational person would expect with a 3 year "extended". The reason for this is that you get a significant discount on the purchase of the contract.". "As it turns out, when you purchase a contract directly through Amazon, these contracts do start the day of purchase.
This is like saying , yes we leased you a car for three years but the price was so good it will only be two now. Followup to sellers responce dated 6/10. A week passed ( including 2 more calls and an email) when I recieved the follwing responce-. The plan does begin at the product date of purchase and will extend after the Samsung manufacturer's warranty. In short ***BEWARE this is not a 3 year EXTENDED warranty******.
Unpon recieving my copy of the contract the first thing I noticed is that the EXTENDED contract started on the day of purchase rather than the date that the manufacturer 1 year warranty runs out. If at some point your company decides to do the right thing , please do not hesitate to contact me.
