I had to use both to get enough power to the device, but it was silent as it worked, which is nice. Comes with leather pouch and cable (with two USB plugs). Overall, great product at a good price. Very good product. I am able to use it on both my iMac and my Windows XP laptop with no problems. I was able to purchase it at $89.95, which is a great deal for 320GB.
I bought this for myself but then i sold it and purchased a larger drive.But my friend who i sold it to loves it.
This portable device is the bigest byte size I have and smallest hard size, it works perfect, I would buy it again if need more.
It comes with a little leather pouch and a cable. This drive is small and thin. I unplug it from my Macintosh every morning and take it to the office where I plug it into my Windows XP PC. Fast shipping, too. I copied over my xxx-gig of mp3's etc and installed itunes on the drive. Now, with my music & itunes installed, I can take it to anyones house, run MY itunes and grab music, etc by dragging it to the itunes window. It's a great deal and I would highly recommend it for $99. The cable has two USB plugs which I'm not exactly sure why you'd need.more power or something, haven't figures that out but it works with one plugged in and is very fast and is made well.
The drive is very well built and includes a comprehensive backup software (NovaBackup) that can be used if desired. Overall, a great product at a great price. I've been using it daily and it has performed flawlessly. I bought one of these drives to store my music and picture collection. The drive has a massive 320GB storage capacity and gets its power from the USB cable. It is also completely silent.
