graphics suck gameplay sucks cars suck there are three angles to drive from and all are bad. if there was a 0 i would have rated it that. its TERRIBLE. and its impossibly hard. this game sucks.
Its no fun at all, I want to sell mine and i got it like a week ago. Id rather have a blank disc, at least I could put decent music on that. This looks and feels like a mediocre N64 game. 4x4 evolution is just plain [junk]. The graphics, sound, and special effects of this game really., especially for the PS2. Sure it has all the trucks and sport ulitilties (for its date), but they are boaring to drive. I reccomend a newer rally game like V-Rally 3, WRC, or Colin Mcrae 3.
If you like unrealistic slow moving vehicles buy 4x4 Evo, if you want fast mud pounding terrain trouncing fun, buy Test Drive Offroad Wide Open. Free Roam. I didn't see any free roam. The cars "speed" along at a snails pace. Test Drive rocks, the trucks are fast, the gameplay is fast, I hope they come out with a second one with more free roam areas. Is this game in slow motion or what. I bought this game because it was supposed to have more free roam areas than Test drive wide open off road which only has three. Too bad there is no option for 0 Stars
I would not reccomend this game for kids under 13 because this is not just a game that you pick up and start racing. Another pro is the graphics are incredable and it seems life-like. I loved this game since the first time I rented it. The parts include 1 to 14 inch lift kits, brush guards, different tires, gear boxes, etc. You have to be a little patient. In this game you buy a suv and build on to it. Each time you win a race you win money. You can buy almost any make of suv and there are so many parts you can purchase to make it better.
Control: 0. you can't stay on the road. Controlling is impossible to do. With no control you end up in the middle of nowhere.Speed: 0. I never won a race. The computer players are much to hard.
Stay on track: 1PLUS+ My friends also hate it.
But maybe I'm not just a 4 x 4 guy.
Go off track: 5.
The only time I ALMOST won was against my dad in MULTI-PLAYER MODE.
Last, you can even make your mom or dad's truck drive.well, I don't like it.
When you race, you can't go fast at all.
Because they got all different selections of diffrent companies and colors.
But kids over 13 will.
