And shame on Datel for not clearly labeling the new action replay's package with information that is crucial for most gameers. The other website even shows a video of how to use the action replay MAx(it's pictured and everything) but then sells you the new one. Nope, can't afford that, so I bought this one thinking it was the MAX, as they advertise it, and then read some comments and found that some of the sellers were actaully delivering the new one so I was lucky enough to cancel it. The awful thing is, I fell for this once- I bought my son the new action reply that doesn't let you know on it's packaging that you can't add codes, my son was upset since the reason he wanted it was to add codes so I started searching for the old one- MAX.
I would have been really, really angry if I was duped twice. Shame on the guilty sellers.
Item you get may not be the one pictured. This is now the second web store(maybe more as I don't know which stores the reviewers are referring to) that has advertised the action replay MAX yet delivering the new one where you can't add codes.
What the heck. BEWARE.
I am so happy I read these reviews before buying this for my son. How helpful.:( An unsuspecting buyer might not think that there is a difference if they don't know that the one you actually get can't have codes added.
Now, I don't know if every seller listed is dishonest, but I advise you to ask the seller before buying it if it the new one or the MAX action replay. E-Bay had one for $129.99.
The only bad thing is that the only way to add new cheat codes is to use a freeloader. What's that. The action replay is really awesome. It has lots of cheat codes for a variety of games. It is very helpful for beating the hardest games. It is easy to use.
I just wished I knew I couldnt add codes :P This product is great. It works great.
This product helps a lot with games that seem impossible to complete. It is very simple to use, and I would highly recommend it.
item received was not the one pictured. The item i got was a new DATEL which can not be programmed with custom codes.
