It is very scratched but that is my own fault. From dropping it in water buckets to running it over with my truck and dropping it on pavement repeatedly (accidentally of course). I love my i-pod. I would recommend this product to anyone who leads an active life style but doesn't like quiet. It still works beautifully and I would not trade it for anything. I have subjected this i-pod to everything. I work in landscaping and I also own two horses which means I spend a lot of time outside. I have had it for 2 years now and I still consider it one of the best purchases I have ever made.
I have had this model (8 GB red) for about 10 months now. Switches are not quite as substantial, the screen seems to be very prone to damage and I am doing everything I can to keep it from scratching. I have never had the life that they advertise and if anything it seems to be decreasing. Nice design.average execution. In some ways the product seems to have cheapened over time.
Additionally, like many apple products, it is a sexy product but lacking in some features. I should have learned my lesson from my last iPod, but I liked the size and bought it anyway. I definitely give it credit for size and look, however, the battery life is not as advertised. It is a continual frustration I have had with apple products so beware.
I will never purchase anything else from this Seller. Their "online live assistance" is a sham, it does not even work. They totally misrepresented the product. The process of getting my money refunded was too long. The supposedly "Factory Refurbished" iPod did not work properly, had scratches/nicks on the case and I highly doubt it came from Apple. This was by far my worst purchase experience ever at Amazon. I bought a current generation refurbished iPod (that looks and works like new) directly from Apple for the same price. It took threats to get any response from the Seller.
There were no scratches and the software functions correctly. The earbuds were damaged, however, giving the impression that the iPod was damaged. When the earbuds were replaced the product worked as it should. The product came very quickly and was in good condition.
Ipod is a great success. was a little shaky bout buyin a ipod online but it had no scratches and works great
