From dropping it in water buckets to running it over with my truck and dropping it on pavement repeatedly (accidentally of course). I have subjected this i-pod to everything. I would recommend this product to anyone who leads an active life style but doesn't like quiet. I love my i-pod. I work in landscaping and I also own two horses which means I spend a lot of time outside. It is very scratched but that is my own fault. I have had it for 2 years now and I still consider it one of the best purchases I have ever made. It still works beautifully and I would not trade it for anything.
In some ways the product seems to have cheapened over time. I have never had the life that they advertise and if anything it seems to be decreasing. I definitely give it credit for size and look, however, the battery life is not as advertised.
Switches are not quite as substantial, the screen seems to be very prone to damage and I am doing everything I can to keep it from scratching. I should have learned my lesson from my last iPod, but I liked the size and bought it anyway. I have had this model (8 GB red) for about 10 months now.
Additionally, like many apple products, it is a sexy product but lacking in some features. Nice design.average execution. It is a continual frustration I have had with apple products so beware.
The supposedly "Factory Refurbished" iPod did not work properly, had scratches/nicks on the case and I highly doubt it came from Apple. Their "online live assistance" is a sham, it does not even work. I will never purchase anything else from this Seller. This was by far my worst purchase experience ever at Amazon. It took threats to get any response from the Seller. I bought a current generation refurbished iPod (that looks and works like new) directly from Apple for the same price. The process of getting my money refunded was too long. They totally misrepresented the product.
The product came very quickly and was in good condition. There were no scratches and the software functions correctly. When the earbuds were replaced the product worked as it should. The earbuds were damaged, however, giving the impression that the iPod was damaged.
was a little shaky bout buyin a ipod online but it had no scratches and works great Ipod is a great success.
