Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB Blue (2nd Generation) Reviews
Got this for my wife. She loves it , and takes it every where she goes.
Good sound, easy to use and very light weight. I am extremely pleased with my Apple Ipod Shuffle.
I have lots of songs under three minutes long, and therefore have almost three hundred songs on it. Apple came up with a true winner here. You can run and hike and even garden without worrying about the shuffle coming off and possibly breaking. With an adapter I can even play my music aloud from my ipod speaker. I think the most ergonomic, convenient aspect of the shuffle is that attached clip. There is nothing else like it.
I really thrive on the music capability. You really get great vitality and fidelity with this quarter sized phonics equipment. The product says you can have up to 240 songs. I am very happy to have this ipod shuffle. That is based on a four minute song.
Sound quality is outstanding, and i-tunes software is easy to understand and use. It connects to a USB port on your PC. A charging stand is included. Ear buds also are included, however, I prefer headphones. The only drawback I see is that the Shuffle is so small and lightweight, it's easy to forget you're wearing it, possibly resulting in damage. I clip it to my tee shirt during workouts.
Store unlimited numbers of playlists in your PC, and use "autofill" to move them into/out of your Shuffle. The IPOD Shuffle is a gem. Slightly larger than the average wrist watch with a belt clip for convenience. It's tiny.
- Build: The metal case is very nice looking and quite strong as well. I have dropped this sucker more than I would like to admit and it has never been a problem. I was deciding between this and the Creative Zen Stone which was slighly cheaper at the time. At the same time, it is big enough that the buttons are easy to find without having to lookdown or "search around" with your fingers. - Clip: I had armbands for both my Nike ZMP players which I wasn't to wild about. Heck, I even dropped it into a sink full of water and it still works perfectly. This is the third MP3 player I have owned. - Memory: I find 1GB to be the perfect size.
CONS:. You can fit 200-250 songs which keep me entertained for a couple battery lives before I feel like switching them and giving myself something else to listen to. PROS:. - Shuffle. I don't know if it just me but it seems like I will hear some songs about 4 or 5 times before I hear some other ones. - Size: it is small enough that it doesn't take up much room and you definately don't notice the weight at all.
Armbands arn't bad if you are running or biking, but they can be a annoying when you are doing upper body lifts. I had a 128MB Nike/Phillips for about 3.5 years before it finally kicked the bucket. The clip eliminates this problem. Not a big deal at all, don't let it discourage you from purchasing this, but if it were more balanced I would be even happier. I ended up going with the ipod because of the metal casing and the built in clip. The ZMP was nice but I really wanted something that would be better for running/lifting/biking.
I replaced that with a 8GB Creative Zen Microphoto. I have really enjoyed the purchase and would definately buy another one if this ever broke.
