Apple Wireless Keyboard Kit Reviews
No drivers needed. I have a SONY Vaio Laptop running Vista Business 32 bit and this keyboard was found by the computer's bluetooth and works right away. Very nice keyboard, high "cool" factor.
I know it is Mac keyboard but some keys are missing which you have to map using third party software. Otherwise look, size, performance & comfort is top notch but price is high as other apple product (which is not fare that's why I never buy apple product) It is only small & thin keyboard in market which you can carry with your laptop bag so no choice but have to buy it. BTW: Logitech was my choice for 4-5 years but size of this keyboard is not available from logitech. I mean even Mac people will have problem using Home, End, Page up & Down + Delete keys if you have windows on Mac.
Of course, you could get a cheaper wire keyboard for a fraction of the price, but as something I use every day for hours, I rate this little luxury very high in actual utility. Upon unpackaging, the instructions gave straightforward direction on the device's battery requirements, which are modest.
If you have chubby fingers or prefer ergonomic keyboards, you should test drive one at your local Apple Store before buying. Connecting to my Mac was a snap.
I was happy to note that this was Bluetooth connective device, so my choice was an easy one. It seems resistant to keyboard crumbs and looks great on the desk.
My only caveat is for people who prefer L A R G E keyboards. I am a new Mac Mini user and wanted a wireless solution that doesn't steal a USB port.
Highly recommended for that alone. I've owned dozens of keyboards in my lifetime and this is easily one of my favorites.
Once again, I have to spend extra time going back and correcting. I bought this as part of an iMac package. While it has a very slick design, it's not up to the rest of the job.
First, the keyboard skips numerous characters that I know I have typed. The result is that I am constantly spending extra time going back over and correcting what I have typed. It has been so troublesome that I will be replacing it shortly with a corded, full-size Apple keyboard. I often don't realize that I'm typing in all caps for several sentences.
Second, the layout is such that I am constantly hitting the Caps Lock key rather than the Shift key. I have had two problems in particular. Since I'm about to start using my computer for work, I can't afford to stick with a keyboard this unreliable.
It also has great battery life. The $80 price tag is pretty steep, but worth the freedom that this keyboard gives you. In other words, it's perfect. This is hands down the most comfortable wireless keyboard ever. It looks beautiful, it's simple, and it works flawlessly. But you will have to pay for perfection.
