This is a fine machine for surfing on the couch/bedroom and for traveling. I highly recommend it and the order/delivery process was lightning fast.
During my last trip my laptop stopped working and made it very difficult to take notes and keep up with email. This time I have my EEE as a backup.
I did however upgrade the memory to 2Gigs and also the hard drive to 250 gigabytes. I love my new EEE.
I had to purchase all the accessories from Ebay. I have to travel to Colorado three times a year for school and wanted a backup laptop computer.
But, I also use it when walking to the local café with free internet access.

Its size and features are ok. But I cannot stand the noise of it. Its fan never stops and it's really annoying.
You'll love it. I use it primarily for inputting data for engineering analysis. Boots XP quickly, very little bloatware. I was worried about the keyboard: the size is really close to full size and it's solid and has a great feel. Better than I expected, and I expected it to be pretty good.
Very solid overall, not a toy in any sense. Does a very credible job running a projector at 1280X1024 for presentations. Just buy it. It has a better video driver than I expected, too. It's no number cruncher, but it works fine for editing input files.
Decent wireless range, great battery life (5 hours+ on wireless).
for the price you can't beat this. I am very impressed with it's performance, screen resolution, and wireless ability. I'd highly recommend to anyone on a budget.
