AT&T 240 Trimline Phone with Caller ID (White) Reviews

Also, the hook for the earpiece is very small and allows the piece to fall off. Sometimes it works, but most of the time it is just white. The sound is fine, but the general phone is below expectations. This phone worked fine for about a year, and is now very erratic as far as the Caller ID window goes.

No comfortable place to hold it which often causes cutting people off by accident. I find this phone to be extremely hard to manage. There are several buttons on the outside of the receiver that are in the center where you put your hand to hold the phone and several on the inside of the receiver. Too many buttons in the wrong place and a slippery texture that wants to slide. Not very well designed at all.

Glad I got these phones. These were the obvious choice, and I am happy with our choice. After we discovered our son is sensitive to 2.4Ghz or higher frequencies (as most children are), and he was getting headaches from our wireless internet and 2.4Ghz phones we decided to go back to WIRED phones in the home. No complaints about this phone at all.

I guess AMAZON will be sending it back to AT&T. I then asked, why would AT&T put a phone on the market that's not compatible with my other phones, I didn't get a reply. The price was right but the caller ID didn't function. When I got in touch with AT&T, they told me, maybe this phone is not compatible with the other phones in my home. (Stupid Response). They wanted to send me a replacement. I told them there is no point in doing that, if, the replacement phone was not compatible with my other phones. I sent it back.

Smaller print however notes that if you want the caller-id (which isn't back-lit) to function, that you need to provide 3 AA batteries. The last thing I wanted was one more thing that required batteries. The description advertises no power cord required, and the box has large print stating "No AC Power Needed".
