AT&T 993 Corded 2-Line Speakerphone Reviews

The Speakerphone worked reasonably well for the first month then started "clipping" and missing some of the words at all volume levels. The rest of the phone works as advertised but I guess there are not really good corded phones at any price.

The phone works fine, but if there is a power failure you phone will not be able to Ring unless you have installed the 9V Battery I was expecting a 2 -line corded phone utilizing the energy of the telephone line, and this prouct uses AC utilizing the included transformer or one 9V Battery.

I'd recommended it to others and would definitely buy another one. One main reasons I purchased it, is because I liked the fact that it comes with a power unit you plug into the wall, so it doesn't require batteries. The display works perfectly, the volume level is just fine. Works great.

I've had no problems with any of the features. I've had bad luck with phones and after reading reviews of this one, I was ready to be disappointed. I like it. And the buttons - I love how easy it is to dial a number. I'm very happy with it and I like having something I can use even if the power goes out.

Anybody have any thoughts. Initial problem I have is when using my headset, I hear a hum. I just obtained my AT&T Corded 2-Line Speakerphone. If I put the phone on mute, the hum goes away. I only have 1 line connected.

My biggest complaint other than the hum is that the volume control does not seem to control the headset jack.

I called AT&T customer service about the humming and, after, many questions from a script, I was told to change the channel on my router as that was probably interfering with my CORDED telephone.

I would not recommend this phone to users having VOIP/copper wanting 2-line service.

The change had no effect which is what I expected but I wanted to give the "tech support" folks a chance.

When either line was plugged into the phone individually, it sounded fine.

I will be returning it to Amazon and look for a Panasonic locally.

The 993 has a great feature set for the most part.

As another purchaser said and retracted, I also had a hum on the phone when BOTH lines (copper and VOIP) were plugged into the phone.
