AT&T EP5632 5.8 GHz Digital BlueTooth Enabled Cordless Phone with Answering System Reviews

I've had this unit for 2 years now, and it has 4 problems. For disclosure's sake, I live alone in a large place, and have no landline. I used this unit to have cordless extensions where I could hear the ring, all connected to my cell when I am home.

1.) Caller ID entries must be re-entered into each expansion headset separately. PAINFUL when someone changes their number.

2.) Bluetooth connection was significantly sporadic. About once a month (though sometimes five or six times a week, if it felt like acting up that week), you'd come home and have to re-pair the cell with the base or it wouldn't allow you to make or receive calls -- the AT&T phones would not ring, can't make outgoing calls on them, and if you answer or make a call with the celllular itself, nobody can hear you.

3.) Audio quality was only slightly better than when using the cellular itself. I'd personally hoped for more improvement, given what you pay for this unit.

4.) Battery life has now degraded to almost nothing after 2 years. The expansion headsets have 10 minutes or less of talk time, maybe an hour standby time. The base unit is barely better, maybe 50 minutes talk time, 2 or 3 hours standby. It started out with all of them at 1 or 2 days standby, several hours talk, but they've degraded almost simultaneously (1 base & 3 expansion units).

The features of this phone are excellent (other than the caller ID lists thing) and as advertised. Unfortunately the quality is quite poor, especially over time as you have to constantly re-pair and deal with poor battery life.

This is the first cordless phone, of many, that I have owned where the voice quality is acceptable. It actually approaches corded phone quality like it used to be back in the good old days. It looks good, has numerous features and the price is reasonable. I matched my cell phone to it and it worked well. The extensions are of good quality as well.

This phone works perfect for me, i have not had any problems, the menu is easy to navigate, the connections are crisp and clear. Nice phone overall.

I like everything about the phone except the reason why I bought it! I bought an AT&T phone so it would work with the Call Notes feature (i.e., light up when I have a message). It does light up when I have a message, but after I delete the message, the light stays on! You have to physically unplug the phone to get rid of the light! Would not purchase again.

I am a solo hairstyist and needed a handsfree phone with Bluetooth capability, I was also a Bluetooth Virgin. After seeing this phone favorably reviewed on several other sites, I decided to purchase it from Amazon because they had the best price. I found it very easy to set up and had no problems pairing it with the Bluetooth Headset. It has many of the features that I needed at work and I want to purchase another one for home! On the fun side, I have been entertaining myself and clients with the many interesting ringtones on the handset; we are listening to Big Band this week.
