Audiovox 10" Portable DVD Player Reviews
I tried both chargers and nothing. I do not recommend this one at all. I think they were defective, but went ahead and forked out [.]. I bought two of these together and they both stopped charging at around the three month range. By looking at other reviews, this is a common problem. for new batteries and that didn't work either. So now I've got two defective dvd players and nothing to play a dvd on I've emailed the customer service for this product at least twice and they don't get back with me.
well i just purchased mine from amazon which the subdealer is target i paid 149.99 for it and every one else paid 78.00 i think ive been screwed im currently in iraq so i dont have access to the actual stores and have to purchase online. Wish i would of read the reviews before purchasing it sounds like i wasted my money on a product that doesnt last.
I'm going to try ordering another one and see if it will work, but otherwise I would've been better off buying a smaller screen and better name brand. Now only the car adapter works. Next time I will go Sony or Phillips. I bought this when target had it on sale for $78. Within 4 months of use the power adapter(plug into wall one) stopped working mid-use. The screen size is larger than our previous model that stopped holding a charge.
won't charge or play at all even with ac. Only buy it if you can purchase additional warranty for cheap. I had one for about 4 monthes, but after the warranty, it simply died.
I've looked online and it appears that this is a common problem from the consumer comments I found. If anyone has any tips on how to resolve this with Audiovox, please let me know. Then it completely died. And Audiovox does not even list this model on their site, or offer any easy info on how to resolve consumer issues with this product. My parents bought this for my 9-year old in January for his birthday from Target - he used it sparingly for about 4 months, and the battery seemed to start holding less and less of a charge. So it's past Target's 90-day return window, and I'm stuck with a piece of junk.I have owned another Audiovox portable dvd player (model D1708) for about 3 years now, and it has always worked perfectly (although I've seen some other reviewers that have had issues with this model too).
