Avatar: The Burning Earth Reviews

And it's age appropriate so please, have kids play kid games. My 10 year old son loves this game. They don't need to be killing people all the time when they could be playing a game full of cool powers and charactors. There are some limitations I see as an avid "grown up" gamer, but if I was 15 or younger, this would be a game I played feverishly. Definitely a great title for fans of this very well done cartoon series.

I bought this game for my son and he has played it constantly, he loves it.

Cons:. - Great for kids who are fans of the show. - Bending fits nicely into the gameplay- though only at specific parts. Audio cuts out at points. Younger kids may run into problems here. Characters freeze sometimes.

- Good variety of mini-games combined into the Avatar storyline. - Much better than the 1st avatar game.

Pros:. - Finale is more challenging than it needs to be.

- Game is buggy. - Good variety of venues where the game is played out.

- Providing the means to enter the avatar state when your partner's in trouble is a good mechanic that heightens the suspense. Therefore the game play is mainly linear.

- Running-from-a-catastrophe mini-games can get rather difficult and frustrating.

I purchased this game for my roommate who is a big Avatar fan. It's a fun game and I love the multi-player feature. I even ended up playing MoMo at one time. He beat the game in 24 hours but still continues to play it. That was really funny.

I don't recommend this game if you don't love Avatar or have never heard of it - its campy-ness won't seem endearing when you're just confused about what's going on. Some of the storyline bits are poorly animated and the plot is not that complicated, but it's really funny if you don't expect too much, and the best part is that it's multiplayer; you can play with another person collaboratively - quest with each other, not just fight each other. If you like Avater, this is a really fun game to see the characters do more.
