The Action America ACN5327 handheld TV uses a TFT (active-matrix) LCD color screen with a resolution of more than 112,320 pixels for clear, bright images. Its NTSC tuner receives VHF and UHF broadcasts, which are easily tuned in automatically using front-mounted buttons and an onscreen channel-bar indicator. The TV tunes VHF channels 2 through 13 and UHF channels 14 through 69. Volume and brightness controls are located on the side. You can listen through the built-in speaker, or connect an earphone (not included) for private listening. Audio/video inputs give you the option of connecting the TV to a camcorder, VCR, or other composite video source. The ACN5327 operates on 4 NiMH rechargeable batteries (included) and features built-in recharging circuitry. It can be powered externally either by standard AC or 6-volt DC power. It works fine. The picture isn't as clear as other more expensive models, but I only paid $25 for it, so for the cost it's great.
This was a gift for my Mom and she still uses it so I'm guessing it is a good product.
Stupidly placed recharge-feature on/off switch. Short, maybe 1 1/2 hour battery life. Despite that it's still worth it, I love mine. of course I bought it before it $199.99, it used to be $79.99, and the TV doesn't appear to have changed. And.
Pros-. Rechargeable (plugs directly in from TV to wall, cord included). Cons-. A/V in (You will need a seperate wire, one that you probabaly won't have, headphone jack size on the TV's end). Maybe it was defective.
Good enough sound (but not real loud, so use headphones). Anyway:. Very watchable picture. First off, I can't say I've had ANY of the troubles Breton had. the reason it's getting 4 stars, this TV does not move well, any bumps whatsoever will have to picture and sound jumping, 1 bump= 1 jump.
Pros. No picture. Maybe all Axion products are this bad. Makes a great paper wait(sp). No sound.
I received this portable TV last Friday. Cons. Let's hope they refund everyone's money and make a version that get this.works. No reception. (I would look up how to spell wait but this product doesn't deserve that much of anybody's time) and door stop to remind you how much money you wasted on the Axion product.
No viewing in any part of Los Angeles from Santa Barbara to Long Beach. Other manufacturers portable TV's work great but Axion's doens't.
I like this unit. Even Casio does not have it. I never have to change the batteries regularily. This is the only portable TV with this built in feature.
