This one is going in the gift pile to be used for x-mas rewrapping. I had purchased this for a girlfriend but I was so embarrassed by its poor performance I went a purchased a more expensive picture frame from Best Buy. Remember, you get what you pay for. The item has a few interesting features listed and this, (and the price) is what initially caught my eye.

Unfortunately when I fired the device up I was greeted with an ugly UI (always a surprise as this is just software), a poor resolution screen and unbelievably long load times when you try to go forward or backward through the pictures.
It took me a long time to figure out turning it off an on again doesn't fix anything, but removing the power cable and plugging it back in does. Occasionally the frame forgets that I have a USB drive in it and starts to cycle through the stock photos it came with. Even then, it doesn't always work. I got this frame for free, so I can't complain about the price. The remote is cheaply constructed and the battery doesn't sit well in it. To make it work I have to not only squeeze the right button, but squeeze the battery compartment to ensure a contact. Now that I have it, I know that I wouldn't buy it.
because I really didn't even get to enjoy it. I would return it but 1. So just keep in mind that the backlight may go out on you. So now I am going to have to find another one. Here comes the downer.
But one day I came to work and my co-worker said that it just went out. It was nice because I share my desk and instead of him having to look at MY photo's, he could just put it on the "clock" mode and it was perfect. BUT. I know it is my backlight because I can still see the photo's scroll across but they are VERY dark I can barely see it.
So my husband bought this for me because we are both stationed in iraq and instead of having a lot of photos sitting around, he thought this would be perfect for me to set on my desk. So I give this a rating of CRAP. I've already had it for a little over a month now and you cannot return it after so long. It was a great product for about a month.
I made sure that it was not, it was planted very firmly onto my desk. It was never dropped. The backlight of this product went out. my husband bought it and 2.
I was very pleased with how fast th shipping was, It was a great seller.
After a few minutes, the frame locked up and the only way to fix it was to unplug it. I recommend spending the extra few dollars and buying something name brand. The first time I turned this on, I thought that all the other reviews were going to be proven wrong. Nope. This frame works but not consistently.
