We are very satisfied with this calandar clock, easy to read from a distance. It was right on time when received and doesn't lose time when power is off.For the elderly, it's a BUY.
Big numbers and letters are readily legible. We have it on a wall in our kitchen where it can also be seen from our livingroom and hall. I personally do not think it would be too bright for a bedroom. My wife and I are both extremely pleased with this clock. "Day" and "Date" features are a blessing for us oldsters. Would highly reccomend this clock.
We purchased this LED Calendar Clock for my 92 year old father, who suffers from macular degeneration. He recently bought a new watch so that he could easily tell time, but he still couldn't see a calendar well. The product was such a good idea that we didn't wait until Christmas. He is very pleased to now know the day and date without having to seek assistance.
My Mother is 89 and this was by far the BEST gift I've given her over the past 10 years.
She couldn't remember the Day or the Month over 10 minutes and was driving her crazy. I would highly recommend this to any family facing the same problem with their elderly parent.

I really don't have any issues with this clock as it works extremely well.
I read all the wonderful reviews of other elderly folks in the same situation and that's all it took to convince me.
i bought this for my elderly in-laws who had to look at the newspaper to know what day it was.they don't need too much at this point & asked for a clock that gave the day also.this was more than we had planned to spend but worth it since they can see it from almost anywhere in their fema trailer.
