An excellent product, however, I was just a little disappointed that this is really only a partially wireless connection. That said, the connection is beyond easy and the sound quality is impeccable. I highly recommend this product. While the SL2 saves the trouble of running a wire to the back of the room, you must still run wires to the speakers.
It comes complete with connections to your Acoustimass module, and new wires to connect from the remote unit to your speakers. For owners of a Bose system, this is a snap to install. Without doubt, this is a perfect system when used as designed, within a decent-sized room for a home theatre system. No need to cut or strip wires and even has the right connections for Lifestyle "cube" speakers. This worked well until my youngest son started crawling and pulled the wires up. After a recent house move I was forced to try and "hide" the surround sound wires for my LifeStyle 35 system rear speakers between the baseboards and carpet. My receiving unit is approximately 15 feet from the broadcast unit. After much searching around I decided that this system would be best and I am not disappointed.
I recently moved to a new house, and didn't want to drill holes in the walls or floor to get the wires to the back of the room. I was somewhat skeptical about this product and concerned with sound quality. They are both very small, and are easily concealable. a) The system is made up of two receivers.
This is an excellent product and I highly recommend it to all. c) The rear speakers plug into the rear receiver. However, I'm happy to say there is absolutely no difference between using the SL2 and hard wiring the rear speakers. b) The front receiver plugs into the base module with 2 wires (left & right speaker wires).
d) Installation complete.
I shopped around quite a bit and overall I was most impressed with the Bose quality. I am very pleased with this purchase. For being an over the air signal the product works great.
