Bully

As a mischievous schoolboy, you'll stand up to bullies, get picked on by teachers, play pranks, win or lose the girl, and ultimately learn to navigate the obstacles of the worst school around, Bullworth Academy - a corrupt and crumbling prep school with an uptight facade. The story follows Jimmy Hopkins, a teenager who's been expelled from every school he's ever attended. Left to fend for himself after his mother abandons him at Bullworth to go on her fifth honeymoon, Jimmy has a whole year at Bullworth ahead of him, working his way up the social ladder of this demented institution of supposed learning, standing up for what he thinks is right and taking on the liars, cheats and snobs who are the most popular members of the student body and faculty. If Jimmy can survive the school year and outsmart his rivals, he could rule the school. Ready yourself for a hilarious return to campus living with Bully.

For far too long, the bullies of Bullworth Academy have been stealing lunch money and making life miserable for students. For far too long, you've taken a back seat as nerds were taunted and put on display. And for far too long nobody has put the bullies in their place. Finally, the time for sweet revenge is here! The Rockstar tradition of groundbreaking, original gameplay and humorous tongue-in-cheek storytelling invades an entirely new setting: the schoolyard. As a mischievous schoolboy, you'll stand up to bullies, get picked on by teachers, play pranks, win or lose the girl, and ultimately learn to navigate the obstacles of the worst school around, Bullworth Academy - a corrupt and crumbling prep school with an uptight facade.

Life at the academy
The story follows Jimmy Hopkins, a teenager who's been expelled from every school he's ever attended. Left to fend for himself after his mother abandons him at Bullworth to go on her fifth honeymoon, Jimmy has a whole year at Bullworth ahead of him, working his way up the social ladder of this demented institution of supposed learning, standing up for what he thinks is right and taking on the liars, cheats and snobs who are the most popular members of the student body and faculty. If Jimmy can survive the school year and outsmart his rivals, he could rule the school.

Using the "living sandbox" game style similar to Rockstar's previous titles, players complete goals and experiment with items in the game world. A rival may dare you to drop a firecracker into a toilet or scare some sense into the kid who took your lunch money. Don't spend too much time roaming the halls, however, as you may actually be punished for skipping out on important classes. Choices you make outside of school will also impact how friends and foes in the school view you after you buy new clothes and sport a new haircut.

Mini games abound
Bullworth Academy pride themselves in rigidly sticking to the curriculum at all times, to this end consistent truancy will result in punishment. The esteemed staff of the Academy, though occasionally questionable in their recreational habits, ensure that the pupils have a firm grounding in the key academic subjects. Alongside the strict principals of loyalty, trust and ruthless ambition that are ingrained in every pupil in the academy by the principal Dr Crabblesnitch, core subjects include English, Gym, Shop Class, Photography, Art and Chemistry. Each subject comprises a series of five tests to be passed with flying colors. Of course on passing each test a due reward, in the form of gameplay features will be earned by the player. Bullworth Academy's educational system is provided through a host of exciting and innovative mini games lovingly developed by Rockstar Vancouver to accompany the main storyline of Bully.

Do a double clique
Just like any other crumbling prep school, Bullworth Academy has its cliques. You'll have to choose whether to side with football jocks, well-dressed preppies, or try to turn them against each other while you laugh at the antics with your fellow greasers. Clique membership becomes even more exciting as your clique rises to the head of the class- making a name for themselves and striking fear into the hearts of those who might cross you. Don't be surprised if some cliques offer up some surprises, as those bug-eyed nerds just may have the scientific know how to create weaponry that can keep those bullies at bay.

Ready yourself for a hilarious return to campus living with Bully, the outrageously funny debut title from Rockstar Vancouver, available exclusively for PlayStation2 computer entertainment system.

Bully Reviews

The game is brillantly crafted by the makers of GTA series. I have only played part of the game and so far the missions have been exciting from Egging a Preps house to helping a friendly nerd to retrieve his books. The game has very fun and brutal fighting along with many interesting characters you will interact with along the way. This game is extremely well done on many levels.

Each of the main sterotypical groups have there own strengths and weakness and each one you will encounter and have to conquer along the way. You know the story so i will talk briefly on the game play. just get it and you wont be disappointed.

The missions seem pretty diverse and never get to stale. Other missions were out boxing the preps to bike races to other deviant teenage pranks. The fighting is farily simple but extremely fun and satisfying. This free roaming game encompasses many different and fun environments from Main School building to hanging out with the greasers at the Auto shop to the jocks to the nerd base at the library.

Not much. I've played for hours and hours and I've only completed half of the game thus far. If you're a fan of other Rockstar games, be sure to pick up Bully. From my 5 star rating you can see that I was thrilled. Eventually you can leave the school and visit shops and other places in town. If you're a parent considering this game for your child, note that there's mild language and violence.

Because this game is set at a school, Jimmy obviously has to take classes and you must use your controller to get him to pass each class. I have to admit that I'm not a big gamer. For those who have no idea what the game is about, basically the character that you play (Jimmy) is sent to Bullworth Academy where he must take classes and participate in random missions. Like all schools, there are different groups of kids (the geeks, the jocks, the "greasers"). You can talk to these other students (and even do missions for them which earns you money), dress like them, beat them up if you'd like, and more. And of course, like all Rockstar games, there are minigames galore that keep you busy. There's a TON to do in this game.

A few months ago I was searching for a new game to buy and I decided to pick up Bully after seeing that Rockstar makes the game. The more you complete, the more items/social skills/places you unlock. Some deal with certain students, some deal with certain teachers, and all missions help Jimmy become the school's leader once they're completed. As mentioned above, the more you complete, the more things you unlock.

It's not a difficult game to play by any means and if something happens to you (like you lose a mission or you get knocked out), there is no "game over". Let's talk about the positives first. I buy a new game every couple of months and I play for a couple of hours a week whenever I'm bored. I've been a fan of Rockstar after playing Grand Theft Auto and The Warriors so I was crossing my fingers that I'd like this one too.

What's not to like. You'll be playing for hours. There are main missions that you must complete in order to get through the game.
