They also are very good for outsight viewing. Even though I was seated in the second tier of the theatre, I could bring everything in very clearly. I purchased these binoculars specifically for use in theatres for live performances and they worked perfectly. They are compact enough to carry easily and the price was very reasonable. I would purchase these again and recommend them to future buyers.
The view was fuzzy & grainy compared to another set of cheap binoculars I brought along. (The better set I had on hand is the Carson Tracker 8 x 21 mm Compact Sport Binocular, offered on Amazon for 25.80). Wouldn't buy again. Bought these to use for lawn seats at an outdoor concert.
The best thing about them is the fact that they are so compact. They work great and are an excellent value at $20. They fold down to a very small size and I'm able to slide them right into my camera bag and don't have to carry anything extra. These little binoculars come in very handy at concerts, graduations, etc.

This product was great for my purposes. They don't work well for serious birding, and I would definitely recommend a different pair for that, but as a portable "help-mate" they work awesome. This pair of binoculars suited me perfectly because they're portable so I can carry them easily in my car and whip them out to affirm or change my identification. I drive to work and see so many birds yet I can't always be sure I identify them correctly.
