Product works like it should. AC adapter included, you'll need to have the dcoax and toslink cable. Can't say much more than that.
Was using coaxil out on Sony Bravia to optical in on lg sound system. this product does not convert digital aduio from coaxil source into a optical signal for out put to a sound system.
This converted my blu-ray dvd player optical output to coax digital. Worked as advertised. There are two similar products, they look exactly the same, but one goes coax-optical, and the other is optical-coax, make sure to get the correct one for your application. I only had 1 optical input, but multiple coax digital inputs on my reciever.
Neither worked with it. May not work on some receivers. I bought this to use with either my DVD player or an HDTV antenna. I plugged it into my Onyko 7.1 stereo and it cut out the audio a lot with HDTV antenna and on the DVD never once gave me audio. Funny thing is, on my buddy's older Sony 5.1 stereo system it works.
This converter works great, and the price is certainly reasonable. Bear in mind that the included AC adapter should be and is completely silent. I purchased this product to complement an inexpensive Sony DVD player, the latter providing only a Coax digital audio output. If yours makes any audible noise, you should promptly return/replace it.
