Saved me money, by not having to by a new receiver. Does exactly what it supposed to do.
My Bose home theater, kind of stupid, has only 1 optical digital audio input, and 4 coaxial digital audio inputs. I never had this kind of problem. Connect the optical digital audio to my DVD player. I didn't have time to try the fix (by unplug the adapter). Pros:.
Connect the coaxial digital audio, in my case, to my home theater. Hopefully, the hiccup doesn't happen too often. Now, I can listen to Dolby Digital 5.1 from my DVD player. + The audio is pretty good. So, it got a hiccup. But, I turned it on again this morning.
+ I've heard people having problem with it that will require unplug the power adapter and replug it. + It's quite easy to install. Just plugs that to the outlet. So, I purchased this converter.

Despite these other reviews claiming it locks up and freezes I have not encountered that at all over the past 2 months. Sound quality is fine. I wish the local electronic stores carried this product.
I have this plugged in behind my TV, and it has worked flawlessly with my Xbox 360. Never had to even look at it since I originally hooked it up.
