I was also pleasantly surprised how well my Mac was mirrored on my HDTV. Couldn't be happier. It worked perfectly, and the quality was great. I purchased this cable to connect my Macbook Pro (10.5.5) to my HDTV via HDMI.
Since I haven't read any reviews as to whether this cable works with a Macbook Prop, I'm writing to confirm that I use this cable to connect my Macbook Prop to the HP2408W LCD. Works great.
This cable is just what you need to connect a PC to your HDTV. It is high quality, but still cheap.
Keep in mind this doesnt transfer sound and you will have to use another adapter for that. Transferred a digital signal from my PS3 to a computer monitor.
There are better on the market. Avoid. My first one and my second are extremely bad fits on the hdmi side and is always loose and falling out. This is the Terri Schiavo of HDMI to Dvi conversion cables.
