While the game was relatively short (and probably not with much replay value); she did have a good time playing it and I feel like she got $20 of fun and entertainment out of the title. I purchased this game for my wife, a casual gamer, because she loved "Cooking Mama" so much.
You will get to the point that you want to beat it and won't give up. My daughter was addicted also when she played it also. I like this game it will make you want to play for hours and hours. My ds had to be recharged to keep playing. It's a great game.
I read somewhere they are making a 3rd, if they do I'll buy that one too. Totally worth the $$, I hope they make a Cake Mania 3. One of my friends was playing her daughter's game and became addicted. I have both the first and second Cake Mania's and I love them both. She handed me her DS and told me to try it.I was hooked. When I saw they had a second one I bought it immediately, and it's even better than the first. I went to the store that night and bought Cake Mania.
That's how much I love this game. I beat both games and started a new account. This game is very addicting. As another reviewer said, the halloween cookie and the rectangular cake look similar so you can't really tell what cake is on the bottom. Just like Diner Dash. I'm so glad they made a Cake Mania 2. I can't wait to play it.
I have finished the game and I'm ready for Cake Mania 2 which will be out this month. I loved the game so much I bought a DS for myself. I am an older adult and played on my grandchild's DS. This game is fun and very addictive. I won't repeat the basic play of the game that others have written, just wanted to let everyone know that I thoroughly enjoyed it.
