The Canon ink may cost more, but it is worth it for the quality and lack of mess.
One time I decided that the name brand ink was just too expensive, so I bought the cheaper generic ink. What a mistake. Every cartridge leaked from the second that it had been packaged until it was completely empty. Every time that I had to replace a cartridge I dreaded it. I had ink on me, the printer, the table, everywhere. The quality of the generic ink was also sub par.
From now on I will stick with the Canon ink.
I always get a much better price deal from Amazon on the ink for my Canon printer. Shipment is usually free and fast. Will continue to purchase through Amazon unless price/quality changes.

Purchased these for my Pixma MX7600. The tank does not sit right. Nor does the machine recognize it! Buy the correct ink tank for the MX7600 and skip this one!
