Canon Pixma iP2600 Photo Inkjet Printer (2435B002) Reviews
The whole machine cost less than a new color cartridge for my HP, which was why we were at the Wal-mart in the first place. When I got home I checked them out. I'm glad to see I was very wrong. I started thinking, "What kind of a piece of **** have I got here." . I haven't really had a chance to test it with photo, but it's not something I do much of anyway. My old hp used to take a good 90 seconds to chug a page through, and I can see that this printer and I will be great friends. It's a boring black printer that does it's job perfectly.
It's light years faster than my old HP 5550, and works like a charm. I actually bought this printer at Wal-Mart, before looking at any of these reviews. To anyone who isn't looking for a lot of bells and whistles, this is definitely the way to go. (Insert blatant promotion of costco here, who charges 12 cents a print online and mails them back to me for free). The first time I printed something I though it was just spitting a blank test page through first. They seem to be totally mixed, and it's hard to tell if the darn thing is any good or not. Much to my surprise there was actually something printed on it.
but not anymore, i had s200, ip1500, now this one. and seems to be that as others say, there are 'chips' in each cartridge, and my original black and color cartridges are no longer recognized by the printer, the printer sw says there is no more ink, but there IS still ink left. this was the main reason why i have been faithful to canon printers. Hi, i was faithful to Canon printers, this was my 3rd canon printer. I hated Epson printers cuz since long time ago, the epson's automatic features and ink level sw were not accurate. i was so loyal to your brand for nothing. I guess canon become very greedy. shame on you canon.
False advertising I'd call it. After reading many reviews and all the technical specifications, I did not foresee this difficulty. So now what. Back to the store I go, I guess. Today I purchased this machine to install on my Macintosh, operating system OS X.4, which all the specs say is compatible, but the installation CD states that it will work only with operating system OS X.5. I'm disappointed.
It doesn't even tell you on the box that you need the firewire. They do not include the USB to Firewire cable and you only find out when you get home. So we pull out the Treo and consumer search it and its reviews are pretty good. But the higher resolution pictures look unbelievable. Now understand if you put in low quality picture at this resolution it will look like its supposed too.LOW QUALITY. It comes with 4x6 photo paper and I will be cutting the 8.5x11 down to save some money.
GREAT PRINTER The pictures look amazing on the Glossy II paper and since I work at a print shop with Half Million Dollar machines.I can say this printer is Explosively Bang for your Buck. So me and the wife are in the Walmart and come across this printer for 30 bucks.and I'm thinking.whats the catch. Luckily I had one.
I actually bought a Canon multi-function after I saw the quality of the print on his printer. He's very happy with it. I ordered this printer for my son in college. The printer is exactly what he was looking for. I had it shipped directly to the college and there were no problems w/ shipping at all. Easy set up; great print quality.
