It takes wonderful pictures and is easy to download pictures onto your computer. The next day, we received the new camera and, yes, it was brand new. When we got it, we made sure it worked by taking a couple of pictures. We wound up purchasing another camera (Kodak digital). Would totally recommend this camera and certainly purchase it through amazon.com, since they are the best in customer service. Much easier than the Kodak one that we purchased. I love this camera. I had purchased this camera for my husband, since he loves taking pictures, a couple of days before we left for Florida.
When we returned from our trip, I emailed Amazon and they were awesome about the whole thing. What a relief to find a store that will not ask any questions and they will send you a new one, prior to you returning the old one. This of course we due to the fact that we received a used, already returned camera by accident. Unknown to us, the camera only worked inside and not outside. But this didn't help us in Florida.
I am very impressed with this camera and Canon's warranty service. I have had this camera for almost a year. Watch the higher prices charged from some sellers on Amazon; chcek out all the sellers and you'll see that this camera sells for about $170$180. Make sure that you do not accidentally press the on button while the camera lense is unable to extend (like while it is in a case that does not allow the lense to extend). It performs very well, takes great pictures, and was a great price. You can't go wrong with this camera. It was covered by warranty and Canon fixed it very quickly, with no charge. Recently, I had some trouble with the lens extending.
Takes decent pictures. Others have been having the same problem (just google this). But there seems to be a problem with the batteries running out after about 20-50 shots.
Best price I could find, quick shipping, You might want to buy this camera from a good shop as I suspect my wife and I are but using half of this cameras features as we know very little about cameras. However we are really enjoying this one. We are happy with the photos it takes, the ease of photo storage and the fact we can e-mail photos to family means we end up using this camera much more than the film camera that this camera replaced. Seems well made.
I'm really happy that I chose this camera. I've found that the little bulge on this model gives me a comfortable grip and it still fits in a pocket easily. Importing to iPhoto is very fast and simple. After using my A570IS for something over six months I'm more and more impressed with it. I haven't had a blurry image yet. Simple to use, a very good zoom lens and the Image Stabilization feature is excellent. How long a video does one need when it's so easy to string them together on a DVD.
Originally I thought that the Elf model would be better as it's a shirt pocket size unit. The picture quality is far superior to the camera that was replaced and I especially like the ability to crop a photo and then have it appear full size without a grainy appearance. I recently recorded a video of our very young granddaughters that runs over eight minutes. This camera's video capability really surprised me with its ease and picture quality.
