Not much to report here, it serves its purpose, seems to be built fairly well so I doubt you will ever have issues with it falling apart.
You may want to stuff it with a little padding if you choose the same set up I have. I know it wont get damaged in it, but I'm wondering if there is one smaller to fit it a little snugger. Lots of room for my hard drive plus usb cable. Otherwise, I give It an A- Love this case. My Western digital 320 Essential is small, so it floats around inside, but it's protected by the strap inside.
I wasn't sure about this product before I bought it, but after my son got if to with the external HD I bought we were both glad that I purchased it. It will actually hold two of the Western Digital external HD. Not only will it protect his HD, but it is small enough to slip into his backpack without taking up a lot of space.
The case material is not cushioned either. Even with the elastic, the drive rattled around in the case. with some cushioning foam or rubber. The Added webbed pocket for the wire was a nice touch, but I really did not feel that the case offered much protection. I will be looking for something a good deal snugger. Way too large for WD My Passport Drive.
I bought the red case for visibility so I can find it easily. I bought the PHDC-1 Caselogic case to carry my new Seagate FreeAgent Go 250Gb portable drive. I paid $10 new. There is a mesh pocket in the top half of the case to hold the USB cord.
Good product. The case has an elastic band that holds the drive securely. The product page has pictures of the case holding different portable drives for comparison.
Check the different colors available because their price varies.
