Casio Exilim EX-S880 8.1MP Digital Camera with 3x Anti-Shake Optical Zoom (Red) Reviews
The point of these cameras is to take out user issues and give great pictures. This camera doesn't seem to able to do it. Dozens of other bad pictures. Of course there could always be a user issue, however I've got other digital cameras (old Sony 3.2) that has always given outstanding pictures.
We went on a cruise and the majority of outdoor pictures (pretty normal travel pics)are exposed badly; too dark, no clarity. However the pictures were very disappointing. This fit and the reviews looked good. Example: many pictures taken from the balcony of our room looking at a nearby island are not even focused, you can't see any detail of the island (too dark); pictures of the boat from standing outside are too dark.
I wanted a thin camera for vacations/travel. Flash consistently washed out the subject being photo'd. Truly amazingly bad pictures.
The product was delivered in good conditions and on time. I bougth Casio Exilim EX-S880. Just I would like that amazon could deliver in Mexico. Regards .
It's bigger, but at least it works. I've made mutliple phone calls and had to pay $95 for a repair that didn't work. The camera was less than a year old, but I didn't have the original receipt so they wouldn't honor the warrenty. I would not recommend buying anything from this company, especially this camera. I've been dealing with Casio for months now. If you don't have the original receipt, your choices are to pay for the repair (roughly half the original cost of the camera), buy someone else's repaired, used camera with a new warrenty for even more money, or send in money for shipping to get your broken camera back.
Similar to another reviewer's experience, the repair center will hold your camera hostage once you send it in. I've gone back to my old Cannon digital camera. Casio has been less than helpful. The camera still looks brand new because I could only use it a couple of times before it quit holding a charge. I do have the original box, manuals and everything else. I received the camera as a gift last Christmas and, the original purchasor did not keep the receipt. The size and features are great, but worthless if the camera won't hold a charge.
I had seen such good reviews of this camera, but am very disappointed. Ernest G. McKay I am very unhappy, I bought the camera to take to a district athletic event, but the battery wouldn't charge, so needless to say, I couldn't take it.
Why casio sell a unit that know that has a defective battery. i was informed that they were aware of this kind of defect. I bought two units and bouth came with a defective battery, that forced to call the service department to replace. Camera is working now after my call to replace the batteries.
