Chaney Instruments Sojourn LCD Travel Alarm Clock Reviews

This is a great portable travel clock - exactly what i wanted. It's easy to read the time, very simple to set the time/alarm and was inexpensive. I was looking for a small travel clock without any fancy features and I found it - I would definitely buy it again. This clock is compact and easy to thrown in my pocketbook.

You don't have to be a psychic to understand the controls. Very refreshing. For example "Alarm:On - Off". A little expensive, but its very straight forward.

I am happy with this purchase. I purchased this alarm clock for a recent trip to Europe and it worked great. It's simple to set the clock & alarm and has a light to see the time that's easy to find in the dark.

Well, it is cheap plastic - but then again that makes it really light. By always having one with you, you are sure that you wake up on time and keep track of your schedule. I like the fold-up design of this one. A simple slider sets the alarm on or off, and you get a visual indicator when it's on. This is one of those basic must-haves for traveling. It's much better to go with a battery powered one. The unit is very easy to use. So I think in general it's a great unit for the price.

I've used it for quite a while and it's always come in handy. I really wish it was in an always-lit state for late night glancing, but that would probably drain the battery quickly. You slide another lever to set the alarm or time. Your luggage can go through the most gorilla-like of baggage claim systems and come out unscathed.

There's a snooze button which also turns on the light temporarily. Even the times I haven't needed it, it's been nice to know it's there in the corner of the bag Some have a really complex clock that you can't figure out how to set the alarm on. First, I want to say that you should *always* have a battery-powered travel alarm clock in your luggage, with a spare battery.

Some have a clock with no alarm. Down sides. You can set the hour and minute separately, which is a great improvement over systems that make you cycle slowly through 23 hours to wrap around to the time you want. When it is shut, the display and buttons are all protected.

Some have a plug-in clock, and then the power goes out. I have stayed at hotels which provided no clock at all. There are plug-in ones, but you have the problems of converters in foreign countries, of finding an outlet that is usefully near the bed, and again of power outages.

Uses a button battery. I'm always surprised at how bad the reviews are for basic things like alarm clocks, clock radios, travel alarms - you'd think manufacturers would have figured them out by now. I've only had this for a week but it seems like a decent cheap alarm clock - I have no idea how it will hold up when I drop it. It is very lightweight, easy to set, the numerals are a reasonable size and you can illuminate it at night by holding a button. The illumination is only OK. So I'd like to put this into context - it is cheap and it is certainly no worse than a whole lot of other more expensive alarms out there.
