Hear the phone number of who's calling before answering the phone with the Talking Caller ID. This handy Caller ID unit audibly announces the caller's phone number. It lets you decide if you want to talk to the person calling, without having to get up from what you are doing. It will speak the caller's pre-recorded name or 10-digit telephone number and also display it on the LCD screen. And if you are on the phone it will also annouce your call waiting calls. You can even custom record the names of up to 50 people you know, and it will announce them in your voice when they call. This device is great for people who are busy and do not want to be disturbed by telemarketers. It will announce "number blocked" or "number unknown" for unrecognized callers. Voice announcer is clear and easy to understand. Was well pleased with it, and am very pleased with the new one I purchased with a good price I might add. The first one was close to $60.00. I purchased an older version of announcer years ago and it just malfuntioned recently. Purchased one for my daughter as well, and she is very pleased. And the setup is very easy. I have been relying on the announcer for years and could hardly wait until my new one arrived.
I called the company and after dealing with a less than friendly service rep, he finally gave me an RA (return authorization) number so that I would have the priviledge of mailing the unit back (at my expense) for a replacementClassco Classco Caller ID Announce When I received this item several weeks ago it worked fine. Since then the sound quit working and you can't record.
I have used this product for some time, this was to replace one that was ruined by lightning. In a large family, this alows the correct person to answer a particular call. You can attach your personal announcement to any phone number or let it read out the number.
I was able to program all the common callers and adapt as needed. Works great, never had any quality issues.point is, it sits dusty in the corner and has performed flawlessly for years. To me, that is exactly what I want something like this to do. I didn't realize how much I use it also until I had it unplugged temporarily. I bought this several years ago for my visually impaired aging mom. It has been well worth every penny and I paid an early higher price. Mom does not have to bother getting up and rushing to the phone any longer.
I have an old Classco caller ID announce and it has been spilled on, dropped more than once and is smoke laden and still works as new. I definately recommend this and all Classco products.
The BEST thing for everyone is that the product is well made, long lasting and extremely simple to set up and use.
The second best thing is that they can have the names of the callers announced instead of just a phone number as they don't easily recognize who the numbers belong to. I purchased a new one for my parents as their eyesight and hearing has diminished.
The BEST thing for them with this announcer is.it is LOUD. The third best thing is the call waiting caller ID, so you know who's calling without missing a beat in your present conversation.
