Coby 4GB Flash MP3 Player with FM and Color Display (Black) Reviews

This is the 2nd mp3 player I've ever had ... I got a 1 MB Coby about 6 months prior to getting this MP620, for an amazing $7 (the MP620 was about $30, but the Coby C7082 was pretty nice and the shipping cost more than the unit itself). I had gotten Coby speakers (that I use with my Amiga 4000) free when I opened a checking account with a local bank, so I was familiar with the brand name. Having familiarized myself with the usage scenario of mp3 players with the 1 GB C7082, I figured I'd put more videos on the 4 GB Mp620. The two players use different video conversion software, but the two converters weren't too bad to figure out. The earbuds for the MP620 are tolerable if/when you get used to them. I've never had an Ipod and when I was given a Nano free, I was put off by the price of its accessories, so I am using the Nano as a paperweight. It's nice to have so much music in this tiny package ... The transitions from one tune to the other are a trifle long if your cuts are supposed to go right into the next, but I am very happy with this unit. I've only putzed around with the other features, but they seem to be pretty nice

I bought this item because I needed to listen to some lectures recorded in a class as MP3 files, so clearly I don't care that much that the sound quality is perfect. The main problem of this player is that, if you want to skip a couple of minutes from a track, it is EXTREMELY slow!!! So I had a 45 minutes lecture, and I didn't to start listening from minute 12. I pressed the forward button and kept pressing, but it forwards with the same speed (my sansa mp3 player, which I use to listen to music, understands that when I keep pressing forward button, it starts to increase the speed of forwarding so I can reach the point from which I want to listen faster).

If you plan to watch videos, definitely don't buy this player. The resolution is extremely low!
I wouldn't recommend this player to anybody.

Good sound and easy to use you can drag & drop music on it without useing the software. The ear phone jack is really touchy

It does what it says. good for playing music. but it lacks a lot of playlist options and such.

Headphones broke a week later. Seller sent new , it also broke in a week. A few days later the pleer broke. Seller sent new. It too broke down in 2 weeks and I'm tired and buying another brend.
