The Coby CX-CD282 comes with two, four inch speakers, along with a powered woofer, providing high sound quality. The player allows you listen to audio CDs, FM/AM radio and cassette tapes. I'm not sure I'd recommend it if you had the resources to get something better. I didn't, but for what it cost, I'm not unhappy. You do have to put in the 10 D batteries even though it's plugged into an outlet to get the best sound. But it works pretty good.
when it records from line-in it also records from the mike at the same time, which is not what i wanted, it didn't say it was a karaoke recorder, returned it and got most of my money back.
I was very happy when I found it on Amazon.com. My first boom box did but it bit the dust. It didn't cost alot and it does everything I like to do when I record with an external microphone. I really like this boom box. Not to many boomboxes have that feature.
It is nothing more than old cheap technology in a new technology wrapper. It has NO notable powered sub function. It's crap. This product was not AT ALL what I expected. I have a shower radio that sounds better. It's sonic qualities don't exist. I would like to return it.
I was somewhat disappointed with the analog AM/FM tuner, it didn't pick up as many stations as a cheaper radio, and the stereo effect was not obvious, but since that wasn't the primary reason for my purchase, I'm not going to complain. Sound quality was adequate, but not outstanding. Tone controls primitive. The Coby CX-CD282 Boombox has a muted boom (it's ok, but not earth shattering), fairly convenient controls and an adequate CD and tape player.
