It does not work out of the box, it powers on for 2 seconds and then powers off. I bought this for my wife for her birthday. We tried multiple new batteries, it's just broke as is. It does work as a USB drive, it just does not play mp3's. Save your money or spend more for something of higher quality.
Coby is a cheap brand.
Like stated in another review "it was too good to be true." I paid only $20.00 as a Christmas present to myself.
Everything was good until NOW, IT FREEZES.
The earbuds were very uncomfortable and they didn't last long.
I couldn't download all of my files and very few of them wouldn't play.
I will now use this as a regular jump drive.
I would only recommend this for temporary use, but other than that, don't waste your money.
I had to buy another set.
It's such a headache so, I am buying an ipod, but I should have known.
The sound quality isn't so good, and the volume control is horrible. It's no wonder they are now giving these away practically. Spend the extra bucks for one with better quality. I haven't had much a chance to listen to it because most of the time.I CAN'T TURN THE DAMN THING ON. You know how the old saying goes 'you get what you pay for', well it applies here, let me tell you. I push the button, sometimes hold it down for awhile and nothing happens.
Roughly half the times I plugged this player into my hard drive, the icon flashed on and off for a while. The only way to overcome it was to try and copy files on before It had a chance to freeze, which still failed. Now this happened lots of time. Which means that I cant copy files onto it. Obviously having no screen is a drawback - but look at the price. Be prepared for infinite displeasure when loading music on. Keep sane, and don't buy this product. Bottom line: I no longer have an Mp3 player.
Which means I cant listen to music. Basically once you have your music on and the battery in this player does pretty well. Not how I said once you have your music on. Now what has happened is that the player no longer shows up on my PC. Then when I clicked into it it said I had to format it (the files already on it had been corrupted and could not be played anymore). Im going to try and be reasonable and bring my point across well.
1 gig is big enough for me and I really like that I can use it as a flash drive as well. Battery life is pretty good could be better though. It would be better with some sort of menu too , but for the price you really can't beat it.
