Coby MP300-2G MP3 Player with 2 GB Flash Memory, USB Drive and LCD - Black Reviews

Secondly the players have a serious channel seperation problem. The playback is very heavy to the right channel. A couple of days later I downloaded some more MP3's from Amazon and when I tried to copy the music on to the player I once again got an error message. Last if you do buy this player invest in some other ear buds or headphones as the ear buds that come with it are very very very tinny.

So for now I have abandoned attempting to use downloaded music.

The first music I put on them were MP3's from my HD and they copied over with no problem at all.

I have had no problem with tracks I take off a CD and rip to MP3 using Cool Edit Pro.

If you were a friend of mine looking for an MP3 player I would tell you to avoid this one.

I have checked this problem with the ear buds that came with it, some ear buds I bought and head phones all were heavy right on both of the players.

They sound almost like the little earbud that would come with an old transistor radio back in the 60's.

I purchased 2 of these one for myself and one for my wife and it didn't take long for the problems to develop.

After a call to MP3 customer service I thought I had the problem resolved by doing a copy via WMP.

However when I downloaded some music from Amazon and tried to load it on I got an error message.

It's withstood being banged around at work and the gym and for the price, I'm pleased. The headphone included are below average, so I'm using a separate, higher quality set. I've had my player about 2weeks and so far it's working fine. File transfer is fast and easy.

What that means is that it will show up as a USB storage device, so I don't have to use special software to copy files to it. I could deal with that though, but really got me mad was that the play button broke. I actually bought the product because it allowed you to change between a media device and an audio player. At first I was impressed with the sleek look, but eye candy only goes so far. I tore it apart and tried to fix it the best I could, and it worked for a little while longer but then broke.

I only had the player for about 2 months, which doesn't seem very long to me. Also I wasn't very happy with the battery life, it would rip through batteries fairly quickly. I found this product to be garbage. I then got a creative player about the same size as this and have been extremely happy with it. I found one problem was everytime I changed the batteries, this setting was lost, so I had to manually go in and switch it back to USB mode.

It holds 2 gigs of music which ends up being about 300-500 songs depending on the size and quality. It does seemingly randomly make the files invisible at times, and I'm not talking invisible with the ability to be shown in the folder (hidden), I mean there will be files on the device that don't show up on explorer. Great portable USB MP3 player for the cheap pricetag. However, this is easily fixed with a quickformat and transferring files to the device doesn't take very long at all. I got this as a mobile MP3, it's great to use while moving around a lot.

Got it, put music on it (much of which it failed to recognize) and then after about two weeks of very mild use started showing garbage on the screen whenever I tried to move beyond the last 3-4 songs I'd played. I got robbed. Title says it all. -G.
