So far can't figure it out. I have 2006 XL and it is not loading. Nov 2008 I removed Pacific to see if it was the problem but no. Bought Combat flight simulator 2 WWII pacific theater at same time loaded fine. Now looking on website for help.
I dont like flying the jets, prefer the prop warplanes of WW2. The game is older but try and find a WW2 flying game now. easier for an old man to do. Graphics are dated but I was expecting that.
It has 4 great campaigns, tons of missions, and a wide variety of non-flyable planes. I think this game is fun but its so unrealistic. 500 lb bomb or 250 lb bomb it's just bomb. There are very few buildings, you can only find trees on airfields, Paris is just the Eiffel tower with a couple buildings around it and the rest is 2D.
Besides that, it's pretty cool. CFS is cheap and if you like to mess around you should get this, but if you like realistic games you should get Combat Flight Simulator 3 instead. When you shoot a rocket there is a rocket with a big ball of fire behind it, there is no.
And there are only 8 aircraft.
AS easy, or as hard as if your really a WW II pilot. There is NO better game for selectable reality. I LOVE this game. This is a game from the late '90's, but it is awesome if your a WW II fanatic like I am.
GREAT GAME. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS GAME TO ANYONE JUST TO FLY AND HAVE FUN.
