Command & Conquer 3:Tiberium Wars Kane Edition DVD Reviews
I love the Command and Conquer franchise that EA has set up, and look forward to their next release. I recommend playing it in Normal or Difficult mode to get the most out of it. It was rather quick for an Electronic Arts game, but still fun.
And for those with a beefy system, get Company of Heroes too. One of the best RTS in years. Although they went with the "if ain't broken" method (just like the road Starcraft 2 appears to be taking), it still packs a punch.
When I looked online. and I was lucky I know how to do some of these things. Kept getting an error. but it's overall not that much better than the very last game, Command and Conquer: Generals which I liked for the most part. but gameplay is the same. One last thing. I will say that I agree with one of the other reviews that there needs to be a "cap" of some sort on the higher level units (ie.
higher costs, limited units at one time, etc). So I am obviously even more disappointed because of the time I feel I wasted working on this problem in anticipation of a great new game which was just ok. especially with the all-star cast. I had a ton of trouble getting it installed. I guess I had pretty high expectations.
Ok, there's better graphics and a neat little story line with the movies and all. I was going to take it back and I happened to find info on how to fix it which worked. apparently there were tons of others with the same problem. But it took time to fix EA's mistake and was complicated especially after spending over $60. and EA Support would never get back to me or the others in the various forums.
The product reviews for Ea Games: Tiberium Wars and TW Kane Edition say the games are compatible with Windows 98 and 2000- they are not.
The grapics are amazing. No biggie, you just have to pay attention better to your units. If you're looking at another part of a map you can't hear ANY of the action going on off-screen.
Even if it's off of the screen by a little. You don't get a warning anymore if your units are under attack.
CnC3 is by far the best of the CnC series. The ONLY complaint I have is the sound. the story line is much batter than any of the previous.
