The Dominator Series Twin2X2048-8500C5D is a 2048 MByte matched pair of DDR2 SDRAM DIMMs built using Corsair's latest high performance heat sink with Dual-Path Heat Xchange (DHX) technology. This part delivers outstanding performance in the latest generation of dual-channel DDR2-based motherboards. It has been tested extensively in multiple DDR2 motherboards to ensure compatibility and performance at its rated speed. This memory has been verified to operate at 1066MHz at latencies of 5-5-5-15. The Twin2X2048-8500C5D comes with Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP), the open standard for performance module SPD's jointly developed by Corsair and NVIDIA. EPP SPD's on Corsair modules allow users to automatically configure EPP enabled motherboards with aggressive memory performance settings, for maximum memory and system performance. The product is excellent , but is very important to access the site of corsair to verify the compatibility with your motherborad , the link is http://www.corsair.com/configurator/default.aspx. When i bought the announcment was Corsair Dominator 2X2GB Kit PC2-8500 1066MHz DDR2 (TWIN2X2048-8500C5D)=total 4GB , but when i received the product , Surprise. i received just two modules of 1GB each. BYE.
Get it together. Twice in the same product name this ram is listed as two times 2048. 2 x 1GB DDR2". If I stretch my imagination I could see a small chance that this is misleading naming at the best. But it has to be a mistake right.
The packaging says "2GB. Does this mean that Amazon gets to keep my shipping when I return this mislabeled ram. "2X2GB Kit". How does this add up to only 2 sticks of 1024 ram.
Annoyed. The ram itself has "2 x 1024" on each stick's labels, I'm sure this denotes that each stick is one of a pair. "TWIN2X2048".
I have to Return One Module as it Does Not Work- but I bought 2 More and They Kick in OverClock Mode.
the item says its Corsair 2GB PC8500 1066Mhz at latencies of 5-5-5-15 instead i get a PC6400 800Mhz at latencies 4-4-4-12.i'm returning this
Only concern was that the 680i mobo did not say that this memory was SLI ready. Other than that.everything about the memory was great for OC-ing and performance. Used in my high end DIY build along with a Q6600 and (2) 8800GTXs.
