Creative Hard Plastic Case for Zen (Clear) Reviews
Same happens when I try to plug in my Creative speakers. It looks very nice in the box but is useless. I have three different headsets and only one would fit. The hole for the audio plug is too little. With a few weeks of little use now it has lots of scratches. You can't record audio because the microphone is almost covered with the plastic.
This is an excellent item that protects my Zen player from bumps, nicks, scratches & falls. Highly recommended. Heavy duty clear plastic has protected my mp3 player many time over & is surely worth the investment.
The idea of the "O" ring is a good idea, and can be taken off if not needed. The opening cover was a little hard to figure out since there were no instuctions, but I finally was able to push it to open the back. Good overall product. The plastic is thick enough to protect the screen well, and the function keys are still accessible. I mainly got it for protection, and it does that well.
I liked the ring that would allow me to hook the device to a belt, etc. I was disappointed because it was just what I had been looking for. However, I bought it to fit my Creative Zen x-fi and the case was too small. Nice product for Creative Zen, but TOO SMALL FOR X-FI. It seems the manufacturer has not made the same kind of case to fit the x-fi. This little case is very nice.
One of the cons, already mentioned, is that the screen on the case scratches easily.
Some cons I haven't seen are that the case covers the SD slot and the microphone, so you have to remove the case to get at either of these functions.
I guess scratches on a $20 case are better than a $200 player.
I unwisely opened the case in the presence of sawdust and could not get all of it off of the inside of the case.
I do not have the oil spot on the screen, and the details and colors are transmitter accurately.
It is a little difficult to put on at first, but gets easier every time you do it.
Nevertheless, it handled a four foot drop onto a concrete floor (accident) perfectly without harm.
A good, solid case.
Also as already mentioned, the little "leather" strip is a bit fragile looking, but hasn't failed on me yet.
