Creative Labs 70PF165000000 Zen MicroPhoto 8 GB MP3 Player (Titanium Gray) Reviews
2). Great audio, small size, decent battery life, easy to import tunes and create playlists even with non-DRM tunes. Europe. After much trial and error, turns out my Windows MTP drivers were corrupted. Main reason I went with 2nd Microphoto. Software is haphazard at best. Creative Tech Support are imbeciles, moronic, and just plain idiots fro India with English names. And the last straw was this moron who apologized for the player not working with Windows Explorer.
1). He's so stupid he crossed CME with WE. Can only delete tunes from the player, individually. They could have it simple to sync with WMP or other media organizers but no-o-o, they stuck this stupid CME in between your tunes and the player. NO way. Controls for this is useless. This will keep me from moving it to/from the house, that is, until I want to import new tunes. Touch pads too sensitive and takes getting used to.
After 12 emails all from different idiot tech support offering ZERO knowledge, I started my own debug and troubleshooting on why the Microphoto would not sync with CME. This is a 4 step process. Okay, more good:. What do I get. The UGLY:. Delete the artist name but their tunes remain.
They only point to the FAQ page for answers, which by the way, is very limited. I get a survey to critique Creative Tech Support for Europe. One gets tired of canned email responses. 3). That's why I purchased a 2nd unit on closeout. Can't search by artist nor title.
Must connect through Creative's Media Explorer (CME) in order to import tunes, create/delete/manage playlist. Not so with the new ZEN for they will be listed as unknowns. I've owned the Microphoto 8GB for three years and just purchased another for the car. The Bad:. 1). When the player works, which it has until this hiccup, it works great. Pretty stupid programming. 4).
The Good:. I uninstalled/installed WMP10, rebooted and that solved the problem. But you better be technical and computer savy before you purchase a Creative product or you're in for an astronomical pony ride from our curry eating moronic imbecile friends. DUH. Oh yeah, even supplying these idiots with a serial number, my USA residence location, steps I took to resolve the problem do I get a try this or try that.
I had this mp3 player for a little over a year. About a year and a half after I bought it, it stopped working (which was my own fault because I dropped it a ridiculous amount of times) and so I had gotten a rebate from the website I ordered it from. The only thing I wish it had was a video player but other than that it was fantastic. I was devastated. When I went to reorder it, the website didn't carry it anymore. I had to settle for the SanDisk Sansa e280 8 GB MP3 Player (which I hate compared to the Microphoto), but I really really miss that mp3 player I absolutely loved it it was the best mp3 player ever.
My brother and I got ours at about the same time and i absolutly loved it. I would charge it full yet as soon as I turned it on it was half way done. If you want your MP3 player to last then get the IPOD. Later, after the warranty expired my battery started to work badly. Then after one song it would be in the red zone.
Every so often tthe buttons were not working and it froze up. Then my brother's broke and he sent it to creative, since it was in the warranty(1 year), they couldn't fix it so they sent him a new one. My sugestion is that I have used the ipod aswell and it's technology is a thousand times better. I would take the battery out and and restart it.
I've had this product for two years almost exactly, and it is only now that it is dying. The battery is still long-lasting, I've never had a problem with the software, and the player is very easy to manuever around and the click wheel is great. It's a great little player that I love very much, and am sad to see go- I'm just moving the next step up in creative players.
the only little problems i have with the player. first of all, I love the color varieties available. overall, i really like this player and i had contemplated on getting it for a while before i did. it's a nice shade with a little bit of a sparkle/shimmer to it.
soon after i bought it i bought a peach-colored silicone case/cover for it that also looks great with the color of the player. I ordered the pink one.
2.
I think it is a worthy purchase at a good deal. I have had my creative zen micro photo player for about 5 months now, and i've enjoyed it with almost no troubles at all.
1. i feel that the battery doesn't really fully charge, because it just doesn't seem to last as long as i expect it should.
I find that the software/program to organize the music is a little bit pesty sometimes when trying to manage my music.
