This product was easy to install and for the money has greazt quality and easy to understan graphics. I strongly recommend this for people looking for something simple.
The sound board was a snap to install. It was the software that was hard. I had to update the software several times over the internet, because the initial CD that came with the box was from 2005.
I bought this card to put into a five year old computer, to replace the onboard sound chip. It is vastly superior to the motherboard sound, there really is no comparison. When paired with a set of Altec Lansing speakers, this card sounds great. For the price I would definately buy this card again, and most definitely will buy another one for my next build later this year. I did not use the drivers found on the disk, I went to the website and downloaded the latest drivers. Installation could not be easier, and both software and hardware works great with Windows 7.
Standard sound card. I have used many and this one works as well or better than most. It has some features that many don't. My advise is to study the specs. of several (including your existing card) and if you don't know what some things mean, then find someone to ask before you buy. You may avoid spending money for something you don't need.
Everything was easy with this purchase- order,delivery,installation.
I had trouble with the on-the-motherboard audio card on a newly purchased computer (Vista w/ Win 7 upgrade) not recognizing the plugged in speakers. I would fix the problem initially but it would revert back to not recognizing the speakers even when I switched out to different speakers.
(It still irks me that I had to spend money to resolve a problem on the new computer).
I installed the Creative Labs SB0570L4 Sound Blaster Audigy SE Sound Card and all my problems were solved and the sound quality is great
