Don't order this expecting to get the Creative brand name screen protectors that are custom made to fit Zen. I so liked the Creative product that when I purchased a new Zen player I looked for these again and ordered two three-packs. Instead I received six single packs of a generic product. It was not a Creative brand name product. It's not worth my time to argue or send it back for refund.
Just be warned: There's a chance the seller will send you a produce that does not fit your Creative Zen player exactly the same way the Creative brand product does. The edge of the screen saver gets too close to the curve of the edge of the Zen player. I am expecting these to collect dust under the edge of the protector and need replacement faster.
Since seller reviews are so difficult to view on Amazon, I though I would post the information here. Buyer beware.
I was expecting something pretty flimsy, a filmy little cheap piece of vinyl that I would destroy in a couple hours of having my player in a pocket. This screen protector is actually a well thought-out accessory and given its physical characteristics I think each one should last quite a while.
Other reviewers have correctly noted that the #2 tab should not be removed. Keep that point in mind. It's there to help you peel off a *second* protective layer that reveals the actual PVC protector. So do read the instructions and forgive the Engrish... it all makes sense.
Note that the protector is a bit larger than the visible portion of the screen, so before you take off the protective layers from the screen protector, size up where you'll want it. I aligned mine to rest in line with the bottom of the "CREATIVE" logo. This results in a bit of material along the top that doesn't adhere, so for my next one, should there even be reason to do another, I'll align it just below the underline of the A.
The directions state that it's bubble free. Essentially that's the case. If you slowly lay it down from one side to another, very few bubbles form, and those that do are easy to remove by just lifting the nearest edge and letting it out.
Overall a great product; just wish that I had really taken to heart that "plastic No. 2" (as the directions put it) literally means a thin protective sheet. I thought the tab was there to keep you from unnecessarily fingerprinting the surface... but instead it's there to help you remove the plastic which is attached only by contact, not an adhesive. For our second player, we did it right and it's very easy.
Docked the 'ease of use' score because the instructions are not written in native English. They're good enough, but should be slightly clearer.
There is no question that the Zen needs this protection for this soft screen. It is BAD that they ship without it in hopes of tagging the buyer for a couple of bucks more. I expected the same great quality as the GOOD Zen units in the accessories for them. Had I read the reviews I would have saved time ordering another brand. UGLY, Heed every warning in the other reviews, this one is a lemon, even with 3 in the package, I never was able to remove the bubbles. I have no problem bubble free on our cell phones. Look for a more user friendly screen protector.
I was on the market for Screen Protector for my recently acquired ZEN. Creative offers one for the ridiculous $27+ as if it is made out of gold nanoparticles! I was very happy to find this fairly priced product that proved to be everything I was looking for: right size, durable, easy to apply. Very Happy!
Really expensive for a little piece of plastic. If I had really understood what I was going to get, I surely would not have done it. From the picture it looked like some kind of case. Really my fault, I should have looked more closely and maybe read some reviews, but I was ordering a gift and thought I should make it really complete. Twenty-five bucks for a dollar's worth of plastic is way too much. Plus ten dollars for shipping something that could have gone in an envelope for less than a dollar. Don't do it.
