This Sound Card was a replacement for a similar Sound Card which went bad in a 10-year old Gateway Performance PC. Installation was easy and something I appreciated very much was that the drivers required were included on a CD shipped with the product. Worked straight out of the box with no problems. Sounds great. Good deal.
This is a great sounding card, very adequate if you only need two channels + subwoofer, though offers much more. Did not need the Creative drivers to install: true plug and play (at least for the system is was installed into.) Through one of Amazon's partners, the price was unbeatable and was shipped fast.
I received the sound card quickly and it looks fine. I have not installed it as yet but will do so shortly. It was a very good buy for the money and I believe it will do great. Good seller, would purchase again from this seller.
This wasn't a SB Live 5.1 but a Sblive Value. While it's a good card if you want quadraphonic sound. Seller said I could sent it back or keep it. (I WAS going to send it back but due to winter storms and lack of transportation I decided to keep it) I just want people WHO THINK THEY HAVE A 5.1 Look at that Sound Blaster Live! Logo, if there is a 5.1 on the lower-right hand part where it says "LIVE!" Then it's a 5.1! windows recognized it as a value and I knew it wasn't a 5.1.
None of the less the "LIVE!" cards are excellent but if you are to buy a 5.1 card MAKE SURE THE SELLER CHECKS THE CARD FOR THE "5.1" on the logo. This is a good card and I am going to put it in my other box I am making for a PURE gaming rig.
