Creative Zen Micro 5 GB MP3 Player Black Reviews
I had it drop to the floor from 10 inches and the entire unit froze, I had tried to fix it but nothing $150.00 right out of the window. The device does a great job.that is until you by some accident drop it, ITS ALL OVER. Ive only had one for three months and within these three months I've met the end of the Creative Zen Micro.
A BIG let down that this unit is very fragile, you drop it once and you can say good bye to your Zen Micro. (EVEN USED PRICES) and there are better products than this one like the Sansa e200 mp3 player.
The Sound quality is really good, the navigation touch feature is a bit too sensitive even on the lowest settings. It's great.while it lasts, the price is a bit too high. Don't pay for something that can break faster than you took trying to pay for it.
A 300-MB book shows up as 3 hours. I guess the product has been discontinued. The unit is clunky and heavy, but includes a useful hard plastic case, stand, clip and charger. The battery is replaceable. It also seems to be very durable. Sound quality is okay; I have not yet been able to tune in a radio station.
When it no longer holds a charge you'll have to buy another player). The biggest problem is that the time display does not work for long-play audiobooks, my primary use for the player. I have never yet received a response that made sense or actually answered my question. (The ZEN V does not have a replaceable battery.
I doubt that I will ever buy another Creative product. If you lose your place at the 20th hour, you'll have to replay for 17 hours since you can only fast-forward the first three hours. The last firmware update is from 2005 and accessories are darned hard to find. Creative has about the worst customer service you can imagine.
The touch pad is absurdly sensitive, so you'll need to use the lock feature.
So I'm stuck using an older computer to charge it. Lately, though, I have not been able to get it to work with Vista, and Creative doesn't have a driver to make that happen. (Vista does recognize it as a removable disk just not a compatable MP3 player). I have used mine to record MANY hours of meetings. It picks up noise extremely well, and I've found it easy to use. I also like the removable disk feature for making transfers from one computer to another.
Then it shuts off.
I'll have to buy the creative charger connector. However the battery charge is poor.
extra$$$$$ cost. Should have bought them in the first place, would have avoided all these.
it only last a little over 3 hrs of playing your favorite tunes. Great sound on this sleek Micro Mp3.
The AC chargers sold here are not comparable.I already bought 2 and they did not work.
A replacement battery would be $40 and not worth the price. The user replaceable batter was part of the reason I bought the devise. I invested over thee-hundred dollars into the device and attachments and it doesn't serve its intended purpose a few years later. My headphone jack became loose a few months later.
The battery life is now at around three hours when fully charged. I couldn't just put the device in my pocket and go. My first problem with this player happened a few months into use. The docking station is not portable. My friend's headphone jack became loose after less than a year. I had to get used to having my music organized by album.
At one point I had to delete my entire library and get new firmware. the vocals or bass). I had expected long-term use. You can only hear part of the music (e.g. It needed to be held in just the right position for the headphone jack to function. The mp3 player is useless when the headphone jack goes. Now, my Zen only works in the docking station I bought for it.
I bought this product over two years ago. One of my friends had to do the same with his Zen Micro. There were several times in which I thought it would never work again. The device has taken its fair number of falls. The back battery cover became loose; it would slide off if I kept it in my pocket.
