The Creative Zen Stone is one of the smallest and most economical MP3 players you'll find anywhere. Compact enough to fit into almost any pocket and weighing less than an ounce, this featherweight player can be worn comfortably around your neck or on your arm while you're traveling or working out. With a capacity of 1 GB, the Stone holds about 250 songs, or 16 hours of music, in MP3 format (or 500 songs in WMA format). In addition, the player's convenient plug-and-play capabilities mean that you can simply connect the player to your PC--the player is only compatible with Windows XP or Vista operating systems--and drag-and-drop your music and data files between player and your computer without the need for special drivers.

I HAVE ENJOY THIS PRODUCT, IT HAS WORKED GREAT I WOULD GREATLY RECOMMEND THE ZEN STONE, I USE IT WHEN I WALK AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS, THE MUSIC PLAYS WELL AND I JUST ENJOY THIS ITEM
I decided to go with the Creative Zen Stone and I have never regretted it. You just plug it in to your computer and drag and drop files. You can also set it up to syncronize files if you prefer with a program such as Windows Media Player.
The buttons are easy to press while running and the light on the Zen Stone tells you if it is on/off, playing/paused, and it tells you battery life status(impressive). I highly recommend this player for active use, and if you buy this you should definitely get a skin to go with it so you can clip it on your shorts. I bought this because I am not a big fan of all of the iPods these days and I wanted a small MP3 player that I could use while running and exercising.
You can organize them into folders and then easily switch which folder you are listening to by pressing the switch on the top of the Zen Stone. This MP3 player is simple and requires no software to transfer music to it. Even buying both of those things together, it is still cheaper than an iPod.
I've always admired Creative products, but I thought I'd write this review for the newbies out there who are looking for a durable little player. I'm listening to the player now as I type this review. I finally tried it, and I was shocked to see it flicker to life as it does in charge mode. My husband advised me to let the gadgets dry for a day or two before plugging it to recharge. Creative doesn't need me to applaud their littlest gadget music player. I've had mine over a year, but a few days ago I made the mistake of leaving it my gym pants and washed it. It's perfect for using at the gym because of its size. It's worth the value in durability and listening pleasure
Some time ago I bought the Zen V PLus, the 4 gb, but I still return to the 1 gb Zenstone. Another private bit about the Zenstone. When my husband handed me the tangled little mess, Zenstone and headphones, I really thought I had to buy another player. Imagine my greater shock when I found the Zenstone and headphones worked. Instead of fumbling with player holders when I have no pockets in my gym pants, the Zenstone is small enough that I can stick into my bra during my two hour workout.
So.save yourself much grief and money.DO NOT BUY THIS.Creative Zen Stone 1 GB MP3 Player (Black) This is a piece of JUNK.don't buy it. The specs (and Creative support says it should play 10-12 hours. I then called their support line and was told that I had to update the software, AND "repair" the player software.
I inquired via there email support and got NO response at all. (I have since read some of the chat forums and many others are experiencing the same 3 hour playback). After having done all this, it still only played about 2 1/2 hrs. I received my Zen Stone 1GB player as a gift.
Once I charged it up and loaded the music, it would play no more than 3 hours. Consider an Apple iPod Shuffle for just a few dollars more. I told them it was not even worth $1. I asked for a refund (or exchange) but because it was a gift (and I could not provide a dated receipt), they would only repair it if I paid $25.
Great product. Great Product. Even survived an accidental trip through the dryer. Got here pretty quick. Easy to work with.
