When you reach the end of a list, it doesn't go back up to the first one. MY STONE WAS DEAD WITHIN TWO DAYS OF USE. (I bought the 2GB plus with speaker). The middle button isn't big enough or something. O_o Before my Stone died, I had synced it twice and both times this happened. I think I've made my point. So let's say I want to go from my Carnival Ride folder to my Some Hearts folder. takes way too long.
Whenever I try to turn it off, I end up turning up the volume super loud instead. The Stone really appealed because of its price, looks, and features. I couldn't use the recovery tool that I downloaded from Creative either because when I connected the Stone, it wouldn't show up on the computer. Other reasons not to buy the Stone:.
When you connect the stone to your computer, it asks if you want to sync the time to your computer time and I said yes. So I spent a lot of time reading reviews and despite the number of people that said theirs randomly stopped working, I still ending up ordering a Stone because of the price. The first mp3 player I bought was by Sony and it has worked pretty well, but since I didn't care for the design or the menu, I thought I'd buy a different brand this time around. You can't browse music and listen to music at the same time.
THE STONE IS A BAD BUY. It is ridiculously hard to turn on and off and you have to press for way too long. I started using the Stone right away and everything was going well. The clock doesn't work. Like an hour later, I checked the clock on the Stone and it reset. So don't buy it.
I have to press the middle button, right towards options, down to play mode, and then up and down. So, there goes fifty bucks. I laughed at myself for worrying. THE VERY NEXT DAY, my FULLY CHARGED Stone WOULD NOT TURN ON. Changing the mode it's playing (in one folder, on repeat, shuffle, etc). WHAT A MISTAKE.
You can't choose individual songs in a folder. Well, as soon as I switch over to Some Hearts, Flat On the Floor is cut off because Wasted interrupts it and starts playing.
Just love it. It is easy to load with songs and work the menu. This is a great MP3 player. It is just what the description said it would be.
I know that you can purchase skins with clip-ons for it, but it would really have been nice if the item itself had it built in. I'm very content with this purchase. Don't really have much to say except that the Zen has worked exactly like it is supposed to. I only wish it came with a little clip-on. I've had no problems whatsoever and it is truly easy to use.
I did this so, maybe that was my problem. Prior to the shuffles and the stone plus I have owned 4 mp3 players going back to the Rios. Never had these problems before. I bought a Stone Plus 2 GB after trying two different iPod Shuffles that never worked.
Now it does not even turn on, after hours of charging. Anyway, this is going back to Target and I will try another brand of mp3 player. I had a bit more success with the Stone Plus since I actually heard music come from it and my PC (using XP) recognized it.
I read another case where someone reccomeneds not syncing the date/time wtih your PC. Everything was fine until it went dead while I was putting music on it.
For what you get for your money I think this is a good deal. In fact I loved this mp3 until I heard a friend's apple ipod- the sound quality was vastly superior to this. I do wish I had spent more to get and apple ipod just for the great difference in sound quality. Great deal for the money. Great size.
This was my first mp3, I bought it in white. But there is reason this is cheaper than the rest. I had trouble charging the zen-like many reveiwers do-but did eventually get it to charge so I was okay with it.
