Creative Zen Vision W 60 GB Widescreen Multimedia Player (Black) Reviews
Creative will not repair. I was told to go to the online store and buy another one, yeah right. I bought this player a year ago, recently the screen got cracked. Buy an IPod, at least they can fix what they sell.
I am still in the middle of trying to get some sort of satisfaction from them. I refused, I do not like the M at all. They won't fix/replace it with what I bought, but they offered me two Vision M 30 GB. Creative no longer makes this, and that means your warranty is meaningless. But break it and you are SOL. I had one for under a year, and the headphone jack stopped working properly. If you sell a product, with a warranty, back it up.fix it or replace it with a equal product, not something much, much less in quality. If you have the player, already, great I loved it, the best player I found, but pricey.
And dealing with the Creative people, OMG. I love this player. (MY OPINION) So I sent in the to get it fixed. That took some time, figuring out the website to send it in. I kept a 5 rating for the player itself,(when working) and I give the Creative customer support the lowest rating.
After sending the first one back, it locked up. I recieved a new one right away. Just ordered a heavy duty leather case, and JBL speakers. Creative Zen Vision W 60 GB Widescreen Multimedia Player (Black)I recieved this for my birthday almost 1 year ago. The picture is very good, much better than Ipod, which some other people have.
It works great, easy to use software, easy to load or delete. When we have standby time on the job, people like to share the videos. I take care of it , but it is in a rough environment (work) and I haven't had any problems. The Zen Vision W is used 3 to 4 times a week, mostly watching movies.
Well first off although I love it becuase it's compatible with Napster (can't say enough about Napster). I dropped it pretty hard, I have to admit, so I wouldn't necessarily be giving it a 1 star for breaking under those circumstances. Then I dropped it and it broke. I can't emphasize that enough. It was a little buggy and hard to manage sometimes, but once I got the music on I was happy. What's really annoying is that the price has nearly doubled since I purchased it.
At this price, don't even consider it. When I paid nearly $400 for it, I would have said it was a good player if buggy, but also it's bigger and more difficult to carry which was why it wasn't in my pocket and I dropped it to begin with. Why would it double - and now it's not even remotely competitive with comperable players. Don't these people know that items like this tend to decrease in price. But irregardless, being compatible with Napster made that high price worth it. Beautiful screeen, easy navigation.
Watching this felt like the effect of being in a haunted house with a stroblight wacking out your eyes ability to comprhend what's really going on. To be fair I'm used to Zen's: M, though smaller doesn't have a big of an issue with movement and brighter, richer colors. I downloaded my movie to the Zen: W and when I played it the rendering of any fast movement was more annoying. One of the earlier review shyly mentioned this, but to me was a big no no.
