Crosley 302 Wall Phone - Red

The Crosley 302 Phone returns to the wall in this Henry Dreyfuss tribute. Dreyfuss, considered a brilliant industrial designer, worked with Bell Telephone Laboratories designing telephones that were sensitive to consumers' desire to suit a variety of home environments. Well known for the 302 style Desk Phone, he later shifted his design efforts to include this wall unit allowing consumers to walk with the phone while cradling it on their shoulder. This unified and balanced form replaced the awkward and ungainly shapes of earlier models.

Crosley 302 Wall Phone - Red Reviews

In case of power failure, I will have a phone connection. No big deal in my mind. The Crosley phone is a beautiful addition to my kitchen. I enjoy it. You have to hold with one hand and dial with another, or put the phone down. I always know where the phone is and it is alway charged. My complaint is that yes, the phone receiver is heavy.

The weight is substantial.Very happy with the purchase. Matches the colors in my kitchen perfectly.(red phone). The phone works perfectly it's just like using an old 50's phone. The shipping was very fast.

overall, i'm happy with it. sound seems to waver, but it could be me trying to keep the phone balanced between my ear and shoulder. More cranberry than red. if you are use to push button phones, it takes a while to find the number locations. If you're not using your hands to hold the phone, it's hard to balance the handset between your shoulder and ear. love the color.

This has happened to me on two of the same model phone. But after a few weeks the rings would come in, but we could not hear the caller nor could they hear us. Love the look and the sound of an old fashion ring.

However, this is not a big negative because we already have a set of cordless phones for use around the house. Every time my wife looks at it on the wall she kisses me and says, "I love my red phone." Second, this is a telephone. As noted in other reviews, the handset is fairly heavy. Unlike the cordless phones which may or may not be returned to their cradles after use, this phone is always returned to the same place. In summary, if you are expecting something cordless and portable, this phone is not for you. I'm told this relates to the annoying tether I mentioned earlier.

They are used for long conversations as we can take them into the room with the sofa and lay around conversing for hours while our servants fan us and feed us grapes. This phone is first, a decorative item. Another nice thing about the tether is that because of it, I always know where this phone is.

It is perfect. It gets an amazingly clear signal. If you are looking for a corded wall phone with a vintage look and a colorful twist, you will not be disappointed.

This phone was purchased for my wife to go in our vintage inspired red kitchen. There is no static whatsoever. If I were rating this phone for every possible negative I would also note that there is this annoying tether that connects the handset to the wall.

As such, it does an amazing job.
