Crysis Reviews
I down loaded all the up dates for this game no help so you can see the game only works on low end computers what's up with that. Crysis will play on the Dell fairly good but on the Alienware it freezes all the time the colors are off the sound is off the graphics are blocky impossible to play. I perchest two Crysis games for me and my son one for my Dell Inspiron 9100 with a Pemtium 4 CPU 3.00 GHZ ,1 GB of ram and 256 MB AGI graphic card and the other one for a Alienware Area 51 M9750 with Core 2 CPU T7600 @ 2.33 GHZ, 4 GB of ram and 2 Nvidia Gefore Go 7950 GTX SLI 512 MB each that's 1GB of Vidio. Crysis is like that, but if you do have a higher end rig I recommend this to any FPS lover. If you have the new GTX 200 series cards on a good rig this game will run great (Even Ultra settings) from what I have seen at Tom's Hardware Guide on the web.
Very few computers could run it at full bore (Ultra Settings). Do not try this game on a old machine.
This is a great First Person Shooter (FPS), the AI is good and the graphics are spectacular. I have a 3Ghz Core2 with 2Gb of system ram and a 8800GTS with 512Mb and run it on medium settings at 1440 x 900.
Just started the game so I can't comment on the aliens too much but from what I have read I will enjoy taking them down. The game very open like Far Cry and BF2 are.
If I go to high settings at that resolution it lags at times. This game reminds me of when Doom3 first came out.
As a game, this is a pretty good experience. Of course, I can imagine it wouldn't be great on a mid-level machine, but it does state the system requirements on the box and handles a whole lot better than I expected. Pretty intese fps, if you like the genre it's worth a shot. I waited a long time to get this one because my computer was old, but when I recently got a new one I was amazed at how well this supposedly system hog of a game handled on a good machine. to the best overall, it's no Orange Box, but hot DOG is it fun.
Does anyone know if there is DRM with this version. I know there are tons of reviews concering DRM on the Crysis Warhead version. Please advise.
Hopefully I can get ten bucks for it on ebay. I was really excited to play this game, but thankfully I waited for it to drop in price before buying. I have the hardware the game needs, but since it can not support my 2650x1600 display I had to drop the resolution before loading it each time. I found the enemy AI to be really good, but I got really bored of this game really quick, and eventually enabled all the cheats so I could just get through to the end and uninstall it.
